i think a chapter in my book
should be “poems not about you,
but may apply”

6
a word written down is a word forgotten,
in many ways.
my notebook has your name
written all over it.

16
i figure the more i write
the more …
well i don’t quite know.
i just keep writing as if
there’s something to be said.

24
open up your
eyes, darling,
the rain has gone away
open up your
heart, darling,
let it wash
away your pain

26
don’t you ever forget
that
since the world
is a near-perfect
sphere, you’re
nearly always
standing at the top.
(no matter how down
you may feel)

31
she was a cute girl
with a nice smile
glasses and a
loose side ponytail.
she had a dress on,
and i missed her.

34
a la miseria se puede llegar
por diferentes maneras

37
so critical of my own self
because it satisfies me

39
I think I will never stop
being proud of blackened dreams,
even though I had nothing to do
with the parts I like.

44
the sadness i felt when i forgot
yet again
why i hated writing poems
about girls.

48
if they’re waiting for the revolution,
i’m it.
